What is the Grandparents Information Line?
Time for Grandparents offers a Queensland-wide confidential and personalised telephone information service (1300 135 500) that provides information, advice, engagement, support and referrals to services in your local community to all Grandparents.
We also provide eligibility assessment for specialised Time for Grandparents programs, such as our Grandfamily camps, support groups and financial assistance for activities.
What happens when you call the Grandparents Information Line?
When you call us, we take the time to listen to you, learn about your situation and provide you with information, support and referrals to services in your local community relating to any topic of concern including:
- Parenting information.
- Legal support.
- Financial assistance.
- Social and recreational activities.
- Family conflict.
- Health.
- Childcare.
- Aged care.
- Counselling support.
We also welcome calls from family members, service providers, social workers and other allied health teams. You can talk to an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander worker if you prefer.
